A new short from Julie Angel has been posted to YouTube.
Thomas Couetdic leads an international group of traceurs through their parkour training on a summer’s evening in London. No spectacle, race, or competition. This happens on any…
A film by Julie Angel featuring Thomas Couetdic and Naoki Ishiyama from Parkour Generations.
It is always a joy to see when Julie Angel has posted a new video to YouTube, and this evening when I saw her post I knew that I was in for a treat. The title says it all – “Parkour. On Any…” depicts a normal training session that could have happened on any given day. She has done a wonderful job capturing the atmosphere, making you feel as if you were a part of the group—training and learning with the others. Videos like this: showing proper training and instruction, present an accurate and refreshing portrait of a discipline that is all too often glamorized.
Julie’s video is a welcomed dose of humility and discipline; shot with a subtly restrained eye that challenges and encourages the viewer to find and admire the little treasures of insight and practice that abound throughout. Enjoy.
